I haven’t attempted a blog update in a while, but am re-inspired now that countdown to baby is under 4 weeks! We had a fun Mardi-Gras themed birthday party for my sister Suzanne today. And my brother did a little preggo photo shoot for me too. Fun stuff, love Saturdays.

Here is a fun picture from today 15 weeks to go – how is that possible?

We’ve had a good Saturday here (well S has been working, but is making good progress so that is good) and I had an enjoyable afternoon with Sarah. We’re off to CT tomorrow to a special service in which we will hear Todd’s ordination sermon and enjoy some quality time with that dear family. Yay! Not much else to report, except that my trip to Target today included two packages of diapers. Oh! And our Thanksgiving here on the East Coast has been officially cancelled due to H1N1. No fun, but I’m making back up plans with some friends in our hood. Thankfully, everyone is on the up and up – my Mom is just being extra cautious due to the wee one!

Hey Girls,

My favorite thing about this new place at the moment is that I can walk anywhere I need to go in town in less than 15 minutes…the library, the store, the post office, the city hall, a park…wow! Michael and I went exploring this morning and I was excited about that.

I’m back from the Cape! SMHB is back from Phoenix! All seems right in our little corner of the world. After a fun, girl-filled weekend, I was more than ready to see my man! He is still working frantically towards the BIG DEADLINE, but I’ll take his quiet focused presence over his absence (anytime!)! We’ve had a quiet Sunday after an excellent sermon this morning. Looking forward to the Patriot’s game tonight – it’s a late start, so I am hoping I make it until the half! The bad news of the day is the word that that the flu is making its way through my dear family members. I’ll steer clear until they are better – but no fun!

Off to the Cape!

SMHB is in Phoenix this week for Greenbuild. He is working hard and (hopefully) getting some time to enjoy the palm tree view. I’m off to the Cape tomorrow to celebrate my bestest’s 30th birthday! It comes at a welcome time when my honey is far away and company is scarce Hopefully, we will have super weather which will result in many good POTDs (Picture of the Day). Oh! And this is a highlight of the week, you all will appreciate! Miss Mellieann sent a wonderful surprise in the form of her maternity clothes! (Wow!!) It vastly expands my options of clothing for the cape weekend ahead! Thanks dear!! Hooray!!

Fall in New England

Steven, my brother and I enjoyed a first round of vigorous leaf raking today at the parents house in the ‘burbs! There will be many more to go – but the first is always so refreshing and colorful and crisp – which are also beautiful qualities of fall! Here is a picture of us and the beautiful maple – during round 2 or leaf raking, these leaves will be down!

So ladies… November 1, 2009 starts a vast experiment – our first ever family blog! I named it the Daily Reign (Rejoicing Everyday in God’s Nearness!). It’s purpose is to help us stay in touch a bit better and share glimpses of our daily lives as we go about with life, love, work, parenting, ministry, etc etc! Let the experiment begin…!
